Proclamation: The board adopted a resolution recognizing Sept. 17, 2024, as Constitution Day and invited the Culpeper Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to accept a copy.
Economic development: Director Brian Rothmeld delivered an annual‑style update, noting three years of work on business attraction and retention, the Culpeper Tech Zone zoning completion, programs to support small businesses such as Be A Culpeper Local Week and Choose Culpeper Farms, and awards including a bronze medal from the International Economic Development Council and a gold award from IADC for Choose Culpeper Farms. Rothmeld said the programs increased participation and local economic activity metrics in 2024.
