"So that's that's a pretty substantial difference, of 173 students," the presenter said, adding that enrollment typically ebbs and flows through fall and that March ADM is the payment-period figure used by the state.
Staff described two positive signs: enrollment has ticked up since the first days of school and it is early in the fiscal year so trends can still improve. The presenter emphasized the district monitors monthly reports, and that staffing and budget decisions will align with updated registration and spring data.
No formal budget adjustments were proposed at the meeting; the presentation was framed as an informational update to keep the board aware of a calculation-driven funding risk tied to enrollment.
