Commissioners approve 75 resolutions including multiple public‑works and grant awards; Resolution 76 receives no motion

The Camden County Board of Commissioners approved a broad package of county resolutions and contract awards covering road projects, parks, public-health grants, public-safety purchases and service contracts.
Under unanimous-consent voting the board approved Resolutions 1 through 75. Notable approvals included a construction-management and inspection agreement with Colliers Engineering and Design for Kings Highway improvements ($719,588.29, funding available $699,811.58), a federal-aid contract for Coles Mill Road improvements ($1,487,600), Cooper River Park playground construction-management services ($108,829.37), and the award to VOA to operate a temporary homeless shelter at the Reagan Building in Blackwood (contract amount $2,535,425, funding contingent on American Rescue Plan allocations). The docket also included multiple chapter 159 budget insertions for state grants, prosecutor office contracts and grant applications, sheriff travel and equipment contracts, and various month-to-month maintenance agreements.
During the vote, Commissioner Young stated, “Yes to all, but I will abstain on 7,” indicating a single recorded abstention on Resolution 7; other commissioners who vocalized their votes recorded “yes to all.” The clerk recorded the roll call and the block bundle (1–75) passed. The chair then called for a motion on Resolution 76; hearing none, the chair announced that Resolution 76 did not pass.
The board also approved minutes and controller reports earlier in the meeting by voice or roll call. Several approvals noted that balances of funding would be contingent on passage of American Rescue Plan funds or adoption of the 2025 fiscal budgets. County staff and commissioners did not take additional public testimony on the resolutions at the time of the vote.
The approvals authorize staff to proceed with contract execution and to implement the awarded projects, with certain expenditures contingent on final budget appropriations.
