Atlantic County commissioners approve series of grants, contracts and appointments

Other approved actions included an elections grant to support early voting (RES 511, $87,397.55), a small safety grant (RES 512, $2,790.60), amendments reallocating $50,000 to Angels in Motion recovery support services (RES 513), an increase of $125,126 to Jewish Family Services for discharge-planning and reentry services (RES 516), and a three-year-plus security services contract with Tri County Security NJ (RES 517, amount not to exceed $3,219,264.16).
The board also approved a multi-year electricity purchase contract with Constellation New Energy (RES 518, amount not to exceed $3,383,915.08), a change order extending the Mee's Landing Library HVAC term without additional cost (RES 519), and a local services agreement with the Atlantic County Improvement Authority for Estelle Manor Park pavement work (RES 520, amount to exceed $21,285). Appointments included Wendy Foreman to the Atlantic County Improvement Authority (motion moved by Commissioner Valis, seconded by Commissioner Risley; adopted on roll call).
All listed items were moved, seconded and carried on roll call votes; individual roll-call outcomes are recorded in the meeting minutes. The board later entered an executive session to discuss pending or anticipated litigation and/or contract negotiations and reconvened without public action.
