Senate committee releases bill expanding theater alcohol license rules after Cranford owner testifies

Senators on the panel praised Syeg’s community work and encouraged her to speak directly with the bill’s sponsor so lawmakers could consider amendments that might help for‑profit theaters as well. Following the testimony, a motion to release the bill passed unanimously among senators recorded on the roster; the chair announced “the bill is released.”
