Environment New Jersey and other proponents framed the task force as a way to coordinate charger deployment and funding and to avoid delays in meeting clean‑truck standards. The committee set a 90‑day target from enactment for assembling the task force and asked industry groups to nominate members.
The bill was released from committee; next steps include stakeholder nomination and task‑force convening once the legislature enacts the measure.
