Staff cited parts-availability and the manufacturer warranty (three years or 3,000 hours) as reasons for selecting John Deere.
Parks mowers: Staff recommended two Bobcat zero-turn mowers (60/61‑inch decks) within the $20,000 budget; council approved the purchase and noted warranty terms (36 months or about 2,000 hours) and the department’s heavy usage and maintenance program.
Votes for each purchase were taken by roll call and motions carried. Council asked staff to expedite auctioning of replaced equipment and to return with final outfitting costs where needed.
