Page County posts four resumes for District 4 vacancy; board votes to enter closed session

The Page County Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday that it received four resumes for the District 4 supervisor vacancy and then voted to enter a closed session to discuss prospective business and legal matters.

Miss Mueller, a county staff member, told the board she had received resumes from Larry Fultz, Kendall Lee McAllister, Susan Kyle and Michael Painter and that the documents are available on request.

Shortly after the announcement, a board member moved and another seconded a motion to convene a closed session "for discussion of prospective business and industry where no previous announcement has been made" related to a waste-management site and to consult with legal counsel regarding specific legal matters. The motion invoked statutory authority for closed meetings under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act; the board took a roll-call and the votes were recorded in the affirmative.
