Page County wins GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

County staff reported Page County received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, crediting Finance Director Tyler Olson and noting budget documents are available on the county website.
County staff told supervisors that the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded Page County the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its budget document.
Staff said the award recognizes adherence to nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation, including serving as a policy document, financial plan and communications tool. The county also received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting for the eighth consecutive year, staff said.
Speaker 5 credited Finance Director Tyler Olson for preparing the documents and noted that award recipients and their budget documents are posted quarterly on the GFOA website. Staff told the board the county’s budget documents are available on the county website through the Finance Department page.
