The Fairview Town Council voted to approve the Murray Manor replat, a 15‑acre replat that converts previously platted and unplatted parcels into a new townhome addition. Planner Israel described the replat as a reconfiguration that will yield 104 townhome lots, internal alley rights-of-way, and a continuation of the town’s trail system along the DART right-of-way.
Peter from Impression Homes described the product mix and timing: the townhomes are expected to range roughly $400,000–$500,000 and span about 1,600–1,900 square feet with a 12‑foot first-floor ceiling in some models. Impression Homes said it has previous developments in Melissa and intends to break ground in Q1 of next year, with some vertical construction anticipated in late spring.
Council discussed the project’s history at multiple prior reviews, standards under the commercial district design code (porches, vertical windows and other architectural requirements), and staff confirmed remaining site and landscape plan work would be handled administratively. Several council members welcomed the move to ownership townhomes rather than build‑to‑rent.
A motion to approve the replat carried on a voice vote after a second. Staff said this is the final plat review unless future changes are proposed and expressed expectation for upcoming permitting and construction milestones.
