The Bellmead City Council approved its consent agenda, including an amendment to a Texas Community Development Block Grant (TXCDBG) contract that staff said will save the city approximately $9,479.
City staff recommended approval of consent items including meeting minutes and the submission of a budget and performance statement to amend the TXCDBG contract CDV21‑one (also referenced as CDEV21‑one). "This will help save us $9,479 so and it costs us nothing," a staff member said, explaining the amendment and noting the city held a prior public hearing with no opposition.
A councilmember made a motion to approve the consent agenda; the motion was seconded and the council voted verbally in favor. The mayor opened a public hearing on the TXCDBG contract at 7:12 p.m. and, there being no speakers, closed it the same minute. The council then moved for adjournment; the meeting closed at 7:13 p.m.
No further discussion or dissent was recorded on the consent items during the meeting.
