At the Nov. 12 meeting, resident Linda Robinson asked the council to consider painting a centerline down Concord to reduce the risk of drivers running into ditches on the narrow, poorly lit road. She also said allowing carports in her neighborhood would 'junk up' an area built with garages.

Charlie Morgan, chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission, told the council the commission is down to four members and was unable to meet last month for lack of a quorum; he asked councilmembers from Precincts 2 and 4 to help recruit or appoint additional members so the commission can carry out its duties.

These public comments were noted during the council's open-comment period; the council did not take immediate action on the road-marking request during the meeting, but the city manager said staff would follow up with residents and provide more information.
