City planning staff presented an annexation request from Vision Assets LLC during the June 4 Yuma City Council meeting. Senior planner identified in the transcript as Erica Peterson said the request covers approximately 4.46 acres made up of four parcels at the northeast corner of 20 Seventh Street and 20 First Drive. Two parcels are undeveloped and two contain single‑family structures; two of the parcels are subject to pre‑annexation development agreements adopted in 2001 and 2006.
Peterson said the county zoning is currently MHS‑20 (manufactured home subdivision) and the City of Yuma general plan designates the area as low‑density residential. Upon annexation, the parcels would be zoned RMH‑20 (residence manufactured housing) and future development would require connections to city utilities. Peterson said ordinance introduction is scheduled for July 2 with adoption on July 16.
The public hearing was opened at 5:53 p.m. and closed with no members of the public registered to speak. No council action was required at this meeting; staff indicated next steps are ordinance introduction and the formal annexation process if property owners sign the annexation documents.
