House Approves Environmental Reorganization and Bear River Water Development; Members Debate Local Control

The House also took up Senate Bill 98, the Bear River Water Development and Allocation Act. Representative Allen, sponsor on the floor, described the bill as the result of a multi‑year task force and noted amendments that narrowed and clarified project language. The House passed SB98 with 67 affirmative votes, 0 negative.
What happens next: Both measures will be forwarded for the Senate signature processes (or further Senate action where required).
