House endorses Gulf Squadron of Confederate Air Force as 50th‑anniversary ambassador

Representative Johnson sponsored the resolution, introduced members of the Utah wing of the organization, and noted the group's work restoring and flying World War II aircraft and educating youth.
Representative Johnson told members the group includes veterans and volunteer aviators who preserve and demonstrate historic aircraft. "This patriotic group of people are all volunteers who... do a lot to educate... our young people know about the history of World War 2," he said. The House voted with a recorded tally of 68 affirmative votes and zero negative votes and forwarded the resolution to the Senate for further consideration.
Visitors from the Gulf Squadron were recognized at the dais and members applauded the organization's contributions to World War II commemoration and public education.
The resolution will proceed to the Senate for consideration.
