House honors former governor Norman H. Bangerter with highway designation

Under suspension of the rules the House considered Senate Concurrent Resolution 13 to designate a highway in honor of former Governor Norman H. Bangerter. Representative Atkinson introduced the resolution and invited the former governor and first lady to speak. Bangerter thanked the body, reflected briefly on public service and joked about "sweatshirt day" before expressing appreciation for the honor.
The House voted and passed the resolution by voice and recorded vote, 70-0. Members then resolved into the Committee of the Whole for the governor's brief remarks and then dissolved the committee with thanks.
