House adopts conference committee report making centennial plates official, voiding Ski Utah plates

Representative Tanner moved adoption of the conference report and explained the joint committee’s work. One representative who opposed the conference committee vote said the committee’s substitute "was a bill which had nothing to do with the bill that the house passed" and that the committee approved a bill that effectively voided the House‑passed language; the dissenter said they were the only member of the committee to vote against the conference substitute.
The House adopted the joint conference committee report and then voted on the Senate substitute to HB48; the clerk announced the result as 62 yes and 5 no, after which the bill was returned for the president’s signature.
