After the motion carried, the speaker announced Representative Robert Gilbert, Representative Miller Stevens and Representative Gene Davis as the delegation to meet the Senate. A later motion similarly empowered the speaker to appoint a committee to inform the governor that the House had finished its business and was prepared to receive any message he wished to deliver.
Members then heard a short ceremonial sequence and, following a motion to adjourn the final day, voted in favor and concluded the House's business for the 45-day session.
The actions were procedural and limited to appointing messengers and finalizing the session schedule; no substantive policy decisions were made as part of these motions.
