Council members raised concerns that frequent exceptions would erode the city’s scenic goals and urged a broader review of signage and wall‑sign rules.
After discussion, the council voted to postpone the application to the Nov. 26 meeting to allow the applicant to supply certified elevation/engineer drawings and for staff to examine the ordinance and potential consistency standards.
What happens next: the applicant agreed to provide engineering information; staff will schedule ordinance review and return the sign request to council with the supplemental materials and recommendations.
