The House reconsidered First Substitute House Bill 107 (titled Toys and Marketing Amendments) and approved an amendment restoring the statutory allocation for the toys and marketing fund.
Representative Sheryl Allen explained the Senate had, in error, reduced two lines to 0; she moved to delete 0 and insert 200,000 on Goldenrod page 3, line 81 and page 4, line 108 to reflect current statute (referenced as section 92-1703 in floor remarks). Allen said adopting the amendment "maintain[s] the status quo of this fund." The motion to amend was adopted and later the first substitute passed the House with a recorded vote of 63 yes and 2 no.
Members framed the change as technical/corrective rather than policy-making: the amendment reinstated the previously authorized amount rather than creating a new appropriation.
