Stratford Greenway update: phase 1 active, 60% designs due in October

The Stratford Planning Commission heard an update from the Greenway and Complete Streets subcommittee on Aug. 20.
Town Planner Smitha Otter said Phase 1 construction is "going on in full swing in front of town hall," pointed to a new crosswalk connecting the fire station to Town Hall, and said implementation for that phase looks on schedule to finish by September. She said consultants are revising phase 2 drawings after a recent workshop and that 60% designs are expected in October, followed by another public meeting.
Otter and commissioners encouraged residents who participated in the earlier Paradise Green workshop to continue offering input as the team finalizes designs and schedules.
