The Stratford Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission adopted its proposed 2025 meeting schedule (second and third Wednesdays of each month) and heard staff updates on administrative permits and enforcement at the September meeting.
Kelly delivered the administrative report and said four administrative permits had been approved since the previous meeting, including a solar panel installation at 390 Ashwood Terrace (Application 2024‑7a), an in‑ground pool at 335 Seabreeze Drive (2024‑14a), drainage work on Harvest Ridge Road (2024‑15a), and building demolition at 335 James Farm Road (2024‑14a). Kelly said sedimentation and erosion controls will be installed for the demolition work.
On enforcement, Kelly said she had issued a notice of violation to the owner of 160 Disbrow Avenue and had not yet received the certified‑mail return receipt or a response. In a separate update, Pat said she had reached out to the owner of 99 Hawley and that the owner intends to proceed with litigation; Pat said October 10 is the date for filing the record in the appeal and staff were assembling transcripts and related documents for the court filing.
A motion to adopt the 2025 meeting schedule passed on a unanimous voice vote. The commission then moved to adjourn.
