The Stratford Town Council approved a lease agreement for the Short Beach Golf Clubhouse food and liquor concession on Oct. 15 and authorized the mayor to make any nonmaterial changes required to finalize the contract.
Councilmember O'Connor moved and Mister Elias seconded the motion. During Q&A, Councilmember Frey asked whether beach users who do not play golf would be allowed to patronize the concession; the chair clarified the restaurant is public and does not require a beach ID. The motion passed by voice vote.
The approval authorizes negotiation and execution of the final lease; the motion allowed the mayor to sign the lease with nonmaterial edits as needed.
