House amends and passes Pharmacy Practice Act technical updates; SB160 approved unanimously

Representative Wyatt said the bill extends an intern's eligibility for an internship license from four to five years to reflect the longer time to degree completion and refines definitions of unprofessional conduct and related penalties.
Representative Ferry moved amendment number five under Wyatt's name; Ferry yielded his time to Wyatt, who described the proposed amendment as a committee cleanup that corrected a few language issues without substantive policy change. The amendment passed on a voice vote and the bill as amended then went to final passage.
Voting was recorded and the clerk announced SB160 passed the House by a vote of 70–0. The bill will be referred back to the Senate for further action. Sponsors characterized the package as noncontroversial housekeeping to bring statutory language up to date with current practice and degree timelines.
