House lifts supplemental appropriations bill from rules for third reading

Under suspension of the rules, Representative Ron Bigelow moved that House Bill 150 (New Fiscal Year Supplemental Appropriations Act) be lifted from the Rules Committee, read for first and second times, and placed on the House third-reading calendar. "This is the next major budget bill," Bigelow said, and noted the chamber had received a numbered blue list to help members locate items in the bill.
Bigelow explained that the measure includes items vetted by Executive Appropriations and that a similar supplemental would come from the Senate for the current fiscal year. He recommended members review the distributed list and indicated some items may be considered later. The motion to lift the bill passed by voice vote and HB 150 was placed on the House third-reading calendar for further consideration.
The House did not proceed to full third-reading debate on the bill during this segment of the session; members were given time to study the bill before forthcoming floor consideration.
