House advances several Senate bills, circles one measure and takes brief recess

Representative Holdaway presented Senate Bill 51, expanding agencies eligible for grants from the Utah Substance Abuse and Anti-Violence Coordinating Council (to include the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Department of Health and Human Services, and State Office of Education); the bill passed 69–0.
Representative Hunsaker presented Senate Bill 92 to update the state's anatomical gift law to align with uniform national standards (clarifying gift documents, powers for health-care agents and penalties for organ sale); the bill passed 71–2.
Later in the session, Representative Snow moved to 'saunter' (a short recess) for approximately 12–15 minutes to allow staff to reboot the electronic system; the motion passed and members were asked to remain nearby.
