House corrects accrediting-agency name in nursing licensure bill; SB 4,004 passes

Senate Bill 4,004, a technical amendment to education requirements for nursing licensure, passed the Utah House on June 20 by voice and recorded vote (64–0).
Representative Newbold explained that last year’s statute listed the incorrect accrediting body (the Northwest Accrediting Accreditation Commission) and the bill corrects the record to identify the proper body for university accreditation. "This is a technical change, and would ask for your support," Newbold said.
Members offered no substantive objections; the measure was placed on the third reading calendar and approved. The speaker announced SB 4,004 had received 64 yes votes and zero no votes; it will be signed and returned to the Senate for enrollment and transmission to the governor.
