Representative Dee announces resignation effective tomorrow; introduces successor Kelly Miles

Dee told colleagues he hoped the governor would accept the resignation and act quickly so the district would have its representative sworn in and serving in the next legislative days.
The announcement was made as part of a series of personal-privilege remarks from departing members. The House did not vote on the appointment; the transcript records only Dee’s statement and his request that the governor move to fill the vacancy.
