SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah House completed floor action on a wide set of measures on Feb. 14, passing bills on topics ranging from school health to transportation funding and finishing multiple committee recommendations.
Autonomous vehicles: First on the consent calendar, Representative Spendlove described HB 257 as continuing a study of autonomous vehicles begun last year and directing agencies and stakeholders to develop best practices and legislative recommendations. "It's a great bill," Spendlove said, urging support. The House recorded 66 yes votes and 3 no; HB 257 passed and will be transmitted to the Senate.
