SALT LAKE CITY — During routine business on Feb. 2, the Utah House of Representatives adopted multiple committee reports, advanced scheduling motions and approved a consent-calendar bill.
The House adopted committee reports from several standing committees and placed recommended bills on the appropriate calendars. House Bill 193, a revisers’ technical corrections bill, passed on the consent calendar by voice and was announced as passing the House 52–0 and will be transmitted to the Senate. Representative (speaker 8) moved to place HCR 4 — a concurrent resolution recognizing 50 years of public television at KUEN, KUED and KBYU — on the time-certain calendar for Feb. 13 at 10:15 a.m.; the motion was adopted. Representative (speaker 18) successfully moved to set HB 150 (custody amendments related to parents with disabilities) for Feb. 7 at 11:45 a.m.
Members also made routine announcements (Heart on the Hill events, a blood drive and birthday recognitions) before adjourning until Monday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.
