SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah House recorded multiple concurrence votes and final passage tallies as lawmakers completed business on the session's last day.
Highlights from recorded roll calls and concurrence actions reported on the floor: HJR 16 (third substitute, joint rules resolution amendments) was concurred in after Senate substitution and passed this body with 63 yes, 0 no. First substitute Senate Bill 84 (reauthorization of administrative rules) passed after a motion to uncircle and received 69 yes, 0 no. Second substitute Senate Bill 200 (aeronautics amendments) passed this body 61–1 as amended. Second substitute Senate Bill 62 (expungement amendments) passed 59–6. Senate Bill 242 (cybercrime amendments) passed 73–0 and was signed by the Speaker for transmittal to the Senate.
On housing and other measures, second substitute House Bill 259 (moderate-income housing amendments) passed 50–20. Final passage of the appropriations adjustments and related budget items was recorded at 68–4. Several other bills and substitutes were read, amended and moved forward under suspension of the rules.
What this means: Many of these items will be transmitted to the Senate for final action or signature by the Senate president. The House clerk and leadership indicated an expedited concurrence calendar was used to process outstanding items as they arrived on the floor.
