Senate advises and consents to governors slate of appointments by voice and roll call

Senator Marine moved that the Senate advise and consent to the full list of appointments, which included nominations to higher education boards, Community and Economic Development, the Board of Travel Development, the Utah Indian Cooperative Council, court administration, the Utah Substance Abuse Coordinating Council, the Solid and Hazardous Waste Board, and the comprehensive health insurance pool. Committee chairs reported no requests for hearings and no objections were listed.
A roll-call vote on the motion to advise and consent recorded 29 ayes, no nays and no absences; the presiding officer said the governor would be informed that the Senate advised and consented to the appointments.
