Salt Lake City — The Utah Senate on Feb. 17 voted to concur with a House amendment to Senate Bill 60, the abortion act revision, accepting language inserted by the House that added the phrase “or referring physician” on the printed bill and moving the measure forward to the House.
Sen. McAllister moved concurrence with the House amendment and explained the insertion on page 4. After brief discussion and a roll-call tally, the clerk announced the final vote on Senate Bill 60 as 20 ayes and 2 nays. President confirmed the bill passes and will be returned to the House.
The record shows a formal roll call in which clerks read member names while tallying votes. Senators also raised procedural motions and other calendar business later in the session.
