Senate announces switch to email for phone messages, gives computer tutorial and adjourns

Senators were warned that replying to the email operator will send responses to the chamber operator rather than the constituent who originally called. Steele recommended brief training sessions for new members to learn printing, folder management and bill access via the workstation.
Separately, the Senate welcomed a 12-year-old artist identified as Beeso (also spelled in the record as Biso/Bessow) to show paintings and speak briefly on peace; the Senate resolved into Committee of the Whole for his presentation and then returned to regular session. The body adjourned at the chair’s motion until 10 a.m. the following day.
