Senate honors Utah athletes Natalie Williams and Jeff Hornacek with concurrent resolutions

The Utah Senate took time during floor proceedings to adopt two House Concurrent Resolutions honoring Utah athletes. The body moved into a Committee of the Whole to receive the honorees, and both athletes and their families were invited forward. Natalie Williams thanked senators and said she was proud to play in Utah; Jeff Hornacek said it was ‘‘an incredible honor’’ and thanked colleagues and family.
Both resolutions were considered under suspension of the rules and were passed by roll call; the clerk reported each as passing with 28 ayes and one absence. The resolutions were signed in open session and will be returned to the House and presented to the governor for final concurrence.
