Senate Honors Primary Children's Medical Center, Reports $766 Donation During Radiothon

A clerk's citation read on the floor noted the hospital "expended more than $6,600,000 in charity care to cover more than 16,000 visits by needy children" and praised the Radiothon’s work raising funds so "no child is ever turned away due to lack of financial means."
Senator Watts reported the Senate’s contribution to the Radiothon as $766 in checks and cash: "I was able to present to them ... your checks and your cash in the amount of $766," he said on the floor. Senators also publicly thanked KSL and Bonneville International for broadcasting and raising funds.
The Senate presented certificates and applauded hospital staff and volunteers. Members emphasized the hospital’s regional role and characterized the Radiothon as a civic‑minded effort to fund lifesaving care for children who cannot otherwise pay.
