Senator Julander read the citation, which recounts the Jan. 10, 2003 crash of an Intermountain Healthcare Life Flight helicopter that killed pilot Craig Bingham and paramedic Mario Guerrero and seriously injured flight nurse Stein Rosequist, and the Jan. 11, 1998 AirMed crash that killed pilot Allen Berg, flight nurse Shane Carnahan and paramedic Tim Hines. Families and associates of the crews were invited forward to receive the citation. Senators, including John Valentine and others with emergency‑service backgrounds, offered personal tributes and thanked the crews for saving lives.
