Senator Stevenson, presenting the measure, said the act ‘‘appropriates $2,200,000,000 for public education’’ including roughly $1.8 billion in uniform school fund dollars, about $9.9 million in interest and dividends from school trust lands and $446 million in local revenue estimates. He told colleagues the bill provides a $106.7 million increase to the minimum school program overall, including $28.5 million for enrollment growth…
