Japanese Consul General visits Utah Senate, praises state relations

The Utah State Senate received Consul General Yuzo Ota and his colleague Shinji Watanabe from the Japanese Consul General's Denver office during the Jan. 26, 2005, floor session.
Representative Otto introduced the guests and invited Consul General Ota to address the chamber. "It is my great pleasure and very honor to be here because I'm representing the Japanese government in Utah State and Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico," Ota said, adding that Japan values Utah’s natural resources and human capital and looks forward to continuing relations to support prosperity.
The Senate received the remarks courteously and returned to legislative business following the visit.
