Senate concurs with House on school capital-outlay equalization after close vote

Sponsors characterized the change as a one-time appropriation and planned to return the bill to the House for signature.
Senators opposed to the measure said the amendment created inequities; supporters said the House amendment provided a reasonable compromise to spread a portion of funds more broadly across districts. The bill will be returned to the House with concurrence for signature.
