SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Senate on Feb. 20 adopted a slate of committee reports and moved dozens of bills forward on the legislative calendar while tabling one school property tax measure for further consideration.
Sen. Margaret Dayton moved "I move adoption of the committee report," asking the Senate to adopt the rules committee's recommendations for assigning bills to standing committees. The motion was carried by voice vote after the chair called for the question. Earlier in the morning the clerk reported 28 of 29 members were present, constituting a quorum.
