On its opening day the Utah State Senate read the short titles of a long list of bills and resolutions for the first time and referred those measures to the Rules Committee.
The clerk read items beginning with SB1 (Public Education Based Budget) and continuing through a large set of numbered Senate bills (including measures on local election amendments, tax revisions, water rights, health disparities, higher education funding and securities enforcement) as well as several joint and concurrent resolutions. The President stated that the bills had been read for the first time and would be referred to the Rules Committee for committee assignment and further processing.
