Senate presents citations to 2012 Utah Mother and Young Mother of the Year

Both honorees spoke briefly to the chamber. Richards urged legislators to protect mothers’ rights to raise their children according to principles of personal responsibility; Conger said she felt honored to represent motherhood and emphasized the role of strong mothers in strengthening families and the state. The Senate presented ceremonial Senate Bs and certificates and dissolved the Committee of the Whole after brief remarks.
