Senate honors Utah State University athlete and trainer after on-court collapse and resuscitation

Senator Hilliard introduced the citation and recited its text, noting that on Dec. 4, 2012, Burger collapsed during practice, was found unresponsive and not breathing, and was resuscitated when trainer Mike Williams administered CPR and an automated external defibrillator shock that restored Burger's pulse. The citation thanks Williams and other responders, notes Burger was stabilized at Logan Regional Hospital and later treated at IHC in Murray, and celebrates Burger's recovery. Senator Hilliard also announced that the American Heart Association Heartsaver Hero Award would be presented to Mike Williams.
The Senate recognized the pair on the floor, and the presiding officer acknowledged the citation.
