Senate confirms Kent Holmberg as Third District Court judge

The Senate consented by voice/roll-call with the clerk recording 27 yeas, 0 nays and 2 absent. Kent Holmberg and family were present in the gallery; Holmberg offered brief remarks, thanked the Senate for the confirmation and said he accepted the appointment with humility and praise for the judicial-selection process.
What happens next: Holmberg will assume duties as judge of the Third District Court per the governor’s appointment and statutory procedure.
