SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Senate approved Senate Bill 10, a Veterans and Military Affairs Commission amendment that adds one representative from the Veterans Health Administration to the commission and removes the commission’s sunset date.
Senator Knudson, presenting the bill, said the addition would bring subject‑matter expertise from the Veterans Health Administration to the commission and that removing the sunset would provide continuity for the commission’s work. He said the change would make it easier for legislators and the commission to seek answers during deliberations.
The Senate moved to read the bill for a third time and held a roll call. The clerk recorded the necessary yeas on the floor and the bill advanced. No on‑the‑floor amendments to the sponsor’s description were recorded.
