Rules report and House communications: The Senate adopted the Rules Committee report and heard that numerous bills had been signed by the Speaker of the House and transmitted for the President's signature, including bills on election law, consumer protection, insurance contracts and a suite of budget bills transmitted from the House.
Bills advanced: The chamber voted to read Senate Bill 67 (Hunting Mentor Program) for a third time (vote announced as 27–0 with 2 absent) after a brief presentation by Senator Christiansen. First-substitute Senate Bill 11 (Water Development Commission amendments) was replaced by a second substitute to adjust membership provisions and moved ahead for third-reading consideration after floor questions and a voice vote on the substitution.
Items placed on circle: Sponsors asked the Senate to 'circle' certain measures while technical issues were resolved; for example Senator Adams asked for SB79 (Waste Management Amendments) to be circled and Senator Hinkins asked for SCR3 (uranium mill tailings remedial action funding request) to be placed on circle.
