Stevenson initially misstated the length of the extension during the presentation (described as two months) and then clarified on the floor that it is a three‑month extension ending Aug. 31.
The floor recorded no substantive opposition and the Senate clerk announced the bill passed by voice/roll call with all present recorded as ayes; the bill will be signed by the president and returned to the House for the speaker’s signature.
The sponsor said the change is intended to be temporary relief for establishments licensed by the state (not municipalities) and could be a model for similar measures if other license types require relief.
