Utah Senate consents to slate of gubernatorial appointments, 21-0

The governor’s communication (citing Utah Code §§67-1-1 and 67-1-2) named, among others, Jay Rand Thurgood to the Utah Capital Investment Board and Molly Cannon to the Board of History (to replace Richard Talbot). The reading also listed appointments and reappointments to a technical college board of trustees (names read included Mary J. Williams to replace Anne Geary; Monica Holdaway reappointed; Nancy Stratford Kennedy reappointed; Neil C. Perks reappointed; Roger D. Pulsipher reappointed; Eric D. Wamsley reappointed; and Paul Nelson appointed to replace David Brown).
Senator Hilliard moved that the Senate consent to the names read by the secretary; a roll call followed and President Adams announced the tally confirming the slate. Following the consent vote President Adams appointed Senator Milner to notify the governor that the Senate had concluded its business; Senator Milner reported the governor’s representative had been notified.
The Senate concluded with Senator Vickers moving to adjourn 'sine die', which the body adopted by voice vote.
