Several residents attending the City of Bandera meeting on Sept. 10 asked the council to place a citizen‑drafted resolution about election records on a future agenda.
Janice Robinson, speaking for United Sovereign Americans, said the group's review of official state data “shows 2022 election may not have been accurate or legally compliant” and urged council members to “listen to the resolution, ask questions if you have them, and then vote promptly for its passage.” She left a copy with the city secretary for possible future consideration.
Linda DeVito expanded on the group's claims, citing federal and state law and asserting that an "open source audit" of Texas’ 2022 election uncovered alleged inaccuracies in voter registration and vote counts. DeVito cited large numbers in her remarks and told council the findings had been shared with state election officials and law enforcement.
Council members did not take action on the matter at the meeting. Mayor Rebecca Dixon told the speakers the city would accept the document and consider it for placement on a future agenda, consistent with the city’s public‑comment rules that limit unscheduled items to a proposal to place a topic on a later agenda.
The presenters said they were available to meet with council and provide additional documentation. City staff instructed the speakers to leave copies with the city secretary; council did not schedule or vote on any investigatory action at this meeting.
